I served in the U.S. Army as an intelligence analyst for 11 years.

I deployed in 2004-2005 and 2009-2010 to combat in Iraq, and served in several stateside operations in New York, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida, (i.e. wildfire disaster relief in May 2008 when 108 wildfires affected 14 counties and scorched 17,000 acres).

Senior Intelligence Analyst 

  • Provided time sensitive, strategic intelligence updates to Joint Intelligence Center commander in crisis situations
  • Supervised 15 soldiers in the comprehensive all-source collection and analysis of intelligence products for a unit of 300 soldiers
  • Mentored junior analysts in all-source collection and analysis; promoted team building and initiative among the group
  • Initiated company intelligence support team program in unit, successfully training 30 intelligence support team members in the effective integration of analysis protocols and intelligence software, i.e. FalconView, ArcGIS, and database systems, i.e. TIGRNet, CIDNE, CPOF
  • Served as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and unit representative at interagency working groups, intelligence exchanges, and targeting meetings
  • Ensured all intelligence products and briefings were coordinated with external units, military and civilian intelligence organizations
  • Utilized raw intelligence reporting to build strategic intelligence targeting packets utilized in desk side briefings to senior military and civilian officials

  • Coordinated security requirements necessary for gaining entrance into sensitive areas

 All-Source Intelligence Analyst 

  • Conducted counter-insurgency analysis on emerging issues related to Iraq, with a particular focus on former regime elements and insurgency networks
  • Created and delivered relevant, time sensitive strategic intelligence briefs to senior staff, executive level decision makers
  • Analyzed raw geospatial intelligence and automated data processing systems to provide effective route analysis for use in real world operations
  • Represented unit as SME at working groups, staff meetings, and formal intelligence exchanges
  • Utilized multiple data streams to research and evaluate terrorist networks and leadership, strategic doctrine, and regional relations in production of actionable targeting packets
  • Designed and maintained physical security plan for tactical operations centers and National Guard armory installations

 Aviation Intelligence Analyst

  • Advised current enemy tactics, techniques, and procedures to pilots on a weekly basis
  • Identified information/intelligence gaps; submitted intelligence requirements to the collection management element to alleviate shortfalls.
  • Prepared imagery products and graphic overlays using Human, Signals, Open-Source, Measurement and Signal, and Technical Intelligence for mission-level planning
  • Represented unit as SME at working groups, staff meetings, formal intelligence exchanges
  • Monitored near real-time video feeds to direct multiple theater-level collection assets in support of aviation requirements
  • Delivered comprehensive and accurate responses to time sensitive requests for information from varying units in the shared area of operations
